Tokushima Oku-Iya Niju Kazura Bashi (Double Vine Bridge)

It has been said that the Heike Clan built this double vine bridge to cross the Iya river when they needed to travel across the water for training over 800 years ago. There are two Kazura bridges called "Male Bridge" and "Female Bridge," another name for the two together is the "Wedded Bridge." Next to the Female Bridge is a manpowered ropeway, the "Wild Monkey" or "Ken Monkey." This offers a basket transportation service across the river by rope.
