Hiroshima Mt. Misen Observatory

Approximately 30 minutes on foot from the Shishiiwa Station (end point) of Miyajima ropeway is an observatory which stands on a 525-meter high peak where you can see a lot of historical sites such as historical sites which relates with Kobo Daishi and Ito Hirobumi. It holds a resting area on the second floor and an observation space on the third floor where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Hiroshima City and Setouchi's archipelago. The primitive forests on the north side in Mt. Misen is designated as a World Heritage Site with Itsukushima Shrine.
