Tobe-yaki Togeikan (Tobe Pottery Center)
The distinctive blue and white Tobe-yaki (Tobe ware) has been produced in the town of Tobe for centuries. Visit the Tobe-yaki Togeikan, a center dedicated to Tobe ware, to learn more about the distinctive ceramics. Explore and purchase Tobe ware from approximately 30 local kilns on the first floor, and then head upstairs to visit the workshops where visitors can try their hand at using a potter’s wheel, try shaping pottery by hand, or painting Tobe ware.
