Autumn Awa Odori

The Autumn Awa Odori is a festival held in Tokushima City each November to celebrate Awa odori, the traditional dance of Tokushima Prefecture. Awa is the ancient name for Tokushima, and the distinctive dance is believed to have been practiced there for centuries. The festival features performances by teams of dancers, as well as food and craft stalls, and other exhibitions and events.
