Yamaguchi Motonosumi Shrine

The 123 torii gates which face the Sea of Japan attract many tourists each year. It is said that the wishes of those who can successfully toss their coin into the raised box will be granted. At the quay in front of one of the torii gates near the sea, visitors can see a phenomenon called "Ryugu no Shiofuki" or "Dragon Palace Geyser." A large spray of water erupts up the side of a cliff as water fills the cave below; it can sometimes reach up to 30 meters high.
