Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art

The Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art was opened in 2002 as a symbol of "Cultural Reconstruction" after the Great Hashin-Awaji Earthquake. Beautiful buildings of glass and granit were designed by world famous architect Tadao Ando. Collections related to Hyogo Prefecture, such as Ryohei Koiso and Heizo Kanayama can be seen at the museum. The museum helds the "Kenbi Premium", a themed exhibition focusing on collected artworks which are brought outside the museum, as well as the "Special Exhibition" which introduces domestic and international prestigious items.
