Oyamazumi-jinja Shrine / Treasure House

This is a head shrines among Yamazumi Shrines and Mishima Shrines located all over Japan. A big camphor tree in the center of precinct has been said about 2,600 years old. As having been worshiped as ' the god of battleship' in the ancient times, many samurais had offered the shrine their military equipments in hopes of military success. Today, many of them are displayed such as swords or armors at the treasure house, which makes visitors check out 40% of military equipments registered by national treasure or important cultural property of Japan in here.
