Fukuzen-ji Temple Taichoro

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This temple is said to have been founded during the Heian Period (around 950). The guesthouse "Taichorou," adjacent to the main hall, was founded during the Edo Period (1690), and was used to welcome diplomats. The sea view from the temple is stunning, and marks this temple as the most beautiful place of all the Tomonoura scenic spots. Just before the temple, visitors can find the ferry port, where the Heisei Irohamaru Ship sails for the Sensuijima Island.
