The Hill of Hope (Kosanji Museum)

This white marble garden extends out from the backyard of Kosanji Temple, and is roughly 5000 m². It was desiged by Hiroshima-born sculptor Kuetani Ittou. All marble used in the design was mined in Italy and transported to Japan by sea. Visitors can see various sized monuments and plazas which sit in harmony with the surrounding landscape. Stop by the cafe made of the same marble as the garden for a quick drink.
