An annual light-up event held every year since December 1995, the year the Great Hanshin Earthquake hit, for the memory of the victims of the disaster, and to encourage the revitalization of the city. At the Former Foreign Settlement which is one of the venues, visitors can enjoy a light tunnel with a total length of about 270 meters. Another highlight is the corridor-type work "Galleria" installed in the Higashi Yuenchi Park where approximately 400,000 LED bulbs emit beautiful light.
