Kintaikyo Bridge is a historical wooden arch bridge located in the city of Iwakuni, Yamguchi Prefecture. Built in 1673, this bridge spans the length of the Nishiki River. The bridge is unusual for it's five-arch architectural style, and has a total length of 193.3 meters and a width of 5 meters. The main structure is also unique as it was made using a timberwork technique, which does not use any nails. The bridge offers beautiful views during any season, with cherry blossoms in spring, cormorant and fireworks in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and of course snowy white landscapes in the winter time. Every spring the "Kintaikyo Bridge Festival" is held, and visitors have a chance to witness the "Daimyo Gyoretsu" or the "Feudal Lord's Procession."
