One of the biggest limestone cave systems in Japan, Akiyoshido Cave is located 100 meters below the Akiyoshidai Quasi National Park. The cave is roughly ten kilometers in length and stays a consistent 17℃ throughout the year. The cave system has a number of natural sights to see, such as "Hundred Dishes," a large number of platter shaped formations stretching from the walls and floor, and "Full of Umbrellas," where hundreds of stalactites hang like icicles from the ceiling.
